Save and download results as PDFs

All results in MaraDocs are provided as PDFs. When you click "Download", they are saved by default in the Downloads folder on your computer.

However, the Chrome browser also supports selecting a custom folder and saving the finished results directly to this folder.

This feature is often used to save directly to a folder that the law firm software automatically monitors and imports from.

  • Download from browser By default, results are saved directly to your PC in the Downloads folder.
  • Save to selected folder MaraDocs can also save results to a custom folder. This is particularly useful if you want to import results directly into law firm software. Note: MaraDocs currently only supports this feature in the Google Chrome browser.

Select custom save locations

Under Downloads, click on the symbol and select the desired folder in the displayed dialog.

Your browser will then ask you to grant permission to save to this folder.

Settings tip for Firefox browser

We generally recommend using Google Chrome for MaraDocs for compatibility reasons. (It supports the file system API required for saving to custom folders.)

However, if you use the Firefox browser, you should at least make a certain setting so that downloaded PDFs are not automatically opened in a new tab.

The following screenshot shows how to make this setting.
