Shrink large PDFs in compliance with data protection for law firms
Large PDF files often cause problems in law firm and corporate environments. PDFs with many pages of scanned images can quickly become 30 MB or larger.
Sending via email or saving in the file history is particularly limited by file size. With MaraDocs, you can quickly and easily shrink your PDFs.
- Size Reduction: Depending on the PDF, MaraDocs can reduce the required storage space per PDF by up to 80%.
- Text Recognition: PDFs processed by MaraDocs are optionally analyzed by our advanced text recognition (selectable text).

Upload and process
In the first step, a large PDF file is uploaded. Then select the desired options (text recognition and reduce size). After clicking "Optimize", the file is analyzed and processed on our servers.
Depending on the number of pages and selected function, this takes some time. Text recognition is more time-consuming than just reducing the data.
Download
In the second step, you can give the PDF a custom name under "Download" and download the reduced PDF file. If you've processed multiple files at once, you can also download all files at once using the icon.
